Under the hood
How the math works
This is a model, not a guarantee. But the direction and magnitude are real \u2014 multiple peer-reviewed studies have replicated the same +7% CVR per 1s LCP relationship.
Google's +7% CVR per 1s LCP rule
Multiple peer-reviewed studies (Google's 2018 retail study, Deloitte's 2019 “Milliseconds Make Millions” report) found a near-linear +7% conversion lift for every 1-second LCP improvement.
Lighthouse score → LCP curve
Lighthouse scores correlate tightly with LCP. We use the documented mapping (e.g. score 50 → ~5.0s LCP, score 90 → ~1.8s) to project realistic upgrade paths.
Back-calculated visitors
We don't guess your traffic. The calculator derives monthly visitors from revenue ÷ (CVR × AOV) so the projection scales with your real funnel.
Capped at +50% lift
Real-world results plateau. We cap the projected CVR lift at +50% so the numbers stay grounded — not the “what if speed was infinite” math.
