Is this really free?
Yes. No credit card, no signup, no follow-up sales calls. The audit takes Google's free PageSpeed API + our own server time. We do it as lead-gen — a fraction of audit submitters become paid clients, and that's enough to make it worth running for free.
How long does the audit take?
Usually 60 seconds to 3 minutes total. PageSpeed Insights is the bottleneck — it actually loads your store in a real headless browser and runs Lighthouse. We start the work the moment you submit and email you the moment it's done.
What if I'm not on Shopify?
The PageSpeed checks still work; we'll send you a report. The Shopify-specific checks (theme detection, app bloat, etc.) will be marked 'not applicable' instead of fail. If you're considering migrating to Shopify, this is actually a useful pre-migration baseline.
Will you spam me after?
No. One welcome email with the report. If you want to know more about working with us, you reply. We don't run drip sequences. Your email won't go to any marketing list unless you explicitly subscribe.
Can you audit a password-protected (dev) store?
No — PageSpeed Insights can only audit publicly accessible URLs. If your store is behind a password, run a public-test build first, or submit your dev URL with the password removed temporarily.
What if my Lighthouse scores look terrible?
Most stores score in the 30-60 range on mobile Performance — that's the norm, not your fault. The report tells you which of the slow factors are app-driven (easy fix) vs theme-driven (Liquid surgery). We do paid speed sprints from $499 flat if you want help shipping every fix in the report.
